Hooray for CWStL member Dianna Graveman for receiving a spot in Writer’s Digest!
The question posed was:
What small thing have you done that has had a BIG impact on your writing career (or your journey toward one)? And what can other writers learn from your experience?
and Dianna answered:
“Both my career and my writing took a new direction when, armed with an MFA, a handful of publishing credits and a background in teaching, I applied for an editing job with a publisher and aced the copy editing test. Once hired, my real education began. Learning to cut redundant words and phrases, watch for inconsistencies, and listen for awkward dialogue has helped hone my own writing skills.”
