Calls for Submissions

Ping Pong Online Journal is looking for poetry submissions for their First Annual Poetry Prize. Submit 1-3 original, unpublished poems. Deadline is April 1st, 2013. Entry fee is $10. First prize is $500 and publication in Ping-Pong website.

The Frost Farm Poetry Contest is seeking metrical poetry submissions. Deadline is April 1st, 2013. Entry fee is $5 per poem. First prize is $1000 plus publication.

WriterAdvice.com is seeking flash fiction, memoir and creative non-fiction of 750 words or less. Deadline is April 18, 2013. First prize is $200, second prize $100 and third prize $50.

Colorado State University, Center for Literary Publishing is awarding $2000 to the winning short story. The winning entry will be published in the Fall/Winter 2013 issue of the Colorado Review. You don’t have to be a Colorado resident to participate. Entry fee is $15. No limit on number entries you can submit. Stories must be previously unpublished. Deadline is March 14, 2013. Winners will be announced July 2013.

The Kenyon Review 2013 Contest is open to writers who have not yet published a book of fiction. Submissions must be 1200 words or less. No entry fee. Deadline is February 28, 2013. Winning author wins publication and a scholarship to attend the 2013 writers workshop, June 15-22 in Gambier Ohio.

Fire Hazard Anthology “Underground” is open to poetry submissions. The anthology marks the 150th anniversary of the first underground railway in London in 1863. Themes could include, but are not limited to: construction of underground railways, history of the lines and the stations, the art of the underground, subterranean cities, etc. Deadline is March 31st, 2013.
