• Fantastic Books is running a short story contest for fantasy and science
fiction stories 700 to 1500 words long. Deadline August 15, 2012. Winning
entries will be published in an anthology. Revenue from the sale of this
book will go to the World Cancer Research Fund. There’s a small entry fee in

• Fault Zone III: Over the Edge Contest is a San Francisco Peninsula Writers Contest, currently accepting submissions from non-members. Anthology will be published by The Sand Hill Review Press. Themes have to do with faults, not only earthquake faults but also personal faults and short comings. Stories that include California are appreciated.
